Government Shutdown: America First vs. America Last

Who is threatening to shut down the government? Democrats. Why? They are representing the interests of foreign nationals over American citizens. Trump gave us America First; the Democrats have countered with America Last.

Maybe the Democrats prefer the #Foreigners First label.

Some Americans have become so painfully ignorant and ruthlessly partisan that some are out there posting and tweeting how a shutdown will be all Trump’s fault.  Of course, it is.  Do you know why?  It is because Bush isn’t President.  Otherwise, it would be his fault, or Bush Sr.’s, or Reagan’s, or Nixon’s, or whoever isn’t on the left’s team.

You need 60 votes in the US Senate to pass this continuing resolution. The GOP doesn’t have 60 votes.  So, they can’t keep our government open without Democrats, and not one single Democrat is electing to vote to keep it open.*

When a special forces operator drops into combat, he will be doing so on a government IOU. Meanwhile, those on Capitol Hill will still be getting paid. Mostly, they are getting paid to divide and destroy us.

On the Democratic side, they refuse to vote to keep the government running because Democrats demand amnesty for the children of illegal aliens brought into this country illegally.  One can try to spin the shut down as a GOP failure, but the truth is Democrats won’t agree to keep America running until the Republicans agree to serve the needs of foreign nationals.

Now, that’s some serious foreign collusion.

The GOP is a horrible party; it is just not quite as horrible as the Democratic party. That’s a party that in the span of 58 years went from pro-military, pro-life, and pro-working man, to anti-military, pro-abortion, and pro-non-working man.

Now, the Democratic Party doesn’t even represent American citizens.  Think about that.

If the GOP had any guts, they would hold the line here. Starting tomorrow, in emergency session, they would pass one bill at a time, re-opening every segment of our government, and forcing the Democrats to choose line by line. Each time, Democrats can choose either illegal aliens or US government operations, like our military.

I suspect both parties fear that Americans might find out how many of those budget lines we can live without. Moreover, the GOP is terrified of polls, many of which show that Americans want to reward illegal aliens with citizenship and chain migration for their successful illegal entry into the country.

Mr. Trump has turned Washington upside-down because he will not, indeed likely cannot, conform to how it operates. He rode into this job by squeezing past the worse candidate in American political history.

Trump won by vowing to drain the swamp, fight illegal immigration, and put America first. He has encountered resistance radicals in every form. Now, he has a Democratic Party that not only blindly hates him but wants to put the interests of Americans behind illegal aliens.

The Democrats have rolled out an America Last plan, and they think Trump’s crazy?

* UPDATE: As of  10 PM on Friday, 4 Democrats out of 48 were prepared to vote for the CR that passed the House. That’s 4 US Senators willing to put America ahead of a political agenda for foreign nationals.  Will more Democrats come to their senses?
