The radical #altleft magazine Mother Jones once called Tom Perez the most progressive member of the Obama Cabinet. He is now the leader of the Democratic Party. In a narrow election among the Democratic National Committee members, Perez, an open borders radical, beat back a challenge by racialist and Louis Farrakhan acolyte, Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison. Ellison, so covered in the stench of anti-Semitism, found national, liberal democrats like Harvard law Professor Alan Dershowitz proclaiming they would leave the Democratic Party if he were elected its chair. In a battle between an open borders radical immigration lawyer and the Jew slandering Keith Ellison, the Democrats choose Perez … narrowly … 235-200.
The Democratic Party is lost in the woods, or perhaps more accurately, along a smuggler’s trail out of Mexico. In the aftermath of a catastrophic election, the Party has doubled-down on its cultural implosion. Re-affirming Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer as the minority leaders in the two chambers sent the unmistakable message that Democrats were not looking to broaden their base, but instead wanted to sure up their bases entrenched on both coasts. The election of Perez by Democrats brought into the fold a key Hispanic leader backed by the Clinton machine. In fact, Perez was on the short-list for prospective Vice Presidential picks for Mrs. Clinton, but he lost out to the math of electoral map politics. Clinton chose Kaine to sure-up Virginia, assuming that if she lost the other swing states, and held Virginia, Trump could never win back a blue state. She was wrong on the second part of that equation.
Once again, the democrats lurched left with the choice of Perez. Had they gone with Ellison, however, the Democratic Party’s most fringe left would have been the face of the Party. Moreover, Ellison’s history of anti-Semitic behavior would have presented problems with the party’s rock solid hold on the Jewish vote. Party elders also likely understand that Ellison, a Muslim, represented less than 1 percent of the population of America, while Perez, a Hispanic and son of Dominican immigrants, represented the fasted growing segment of minorities in the Country.
This time, with a chance again to play the race-card, the Democratic Party drew the best card it had from the deck of identity and racial division. Perez is a full-blown, radical who has repeatedly sued to stop laws aimed at enforcement and combating illegal aliens. Moreover, the Democratic Party wants to herald the selection of Perez as the first Hispanic to lead one of the two National Parties, a headline already trumpeted by the Washington Post.
The Democratic Party has cut-loose working-class Americans. Moreover, some members of the DNC openly said that selecting a white candidate for the head of the party was not an option. Inside that echo chamber of racial grudges, the Democratic Party is convinced that the future of our country is in the divided America it has built by segmenting society by race, gender, orientation, and religion. It has no plan to unite the country around founding principles of freedom, liberty, and economic prosperity.
In Mr. Perez, the Democrats picked a highly skilled politician, a partisan #altleft thinker, and a candidate with far less baggage than Mr. Ellison. Still, the first move of Perez was to suspend the party rules and ask that Democrats approve Mr. Ellison as the Vice-Chairman. The Party avoided a suicide with Perez. Then he installs the radical Ellison. Is that now a murder-suicide or a double-suicide for the Party?
The Democratic Party is now a tyranny of the minorities. It is a collection of socialists, radicals, flag-burners, open-borders’ lobbyists, and anti-Semites … all convinced that their lot in life is the result of oppression by white, capitalists who hate people of color. It will not rest until it stamps out its working class roots. If it wins a single national election under this leadership, the uncivil war we are seeing in our streets could turn into a shooting match. That’s just how far left that party has lurched.
