A group of illegal aliens, known as DREAMERS, are threatening to leave the country if Congress and the President don’t reach a deal on the Obama era program known as (DACA), the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Really, they are here illegally, and if Americans don’t agree to accept them, they will leave.
Some Dreamers don’t seem to understand leverage or bargaining.
Alex Velez, one of the so-called Dreamers told CNN, “I will leave. I will leave America as soon as possible,” claiming that she will show America by leaving on her own volition, rather than forcing the United States to find and deport her.
This is not fake news.
These illegal immigrants and their leaders believe that mass, voluntary deportation will adversely affect America, and only then will Americans take seriously their departure. Velez and her sister claim they own businesses, pay tuition and hold American jobs. She believes America has a duty to keep her and similarly situated illegal aliens here in order to maintain their contributions.
It sure is a risky move for the Velez sisters. Leaving the United States for refusing to accept them legally will result in them returning to Venezuela, where times are desperate and liberty is in short supply.
Congress may never find a solution acceptable to the political parties for illegal aliens brought here improperly by their parents. However, fleeing America to Venezuela to show up President Trump and the Republicans does not appear to be a strong incentive for the President to change his position, which already makes room for amnesty for up to 1.8 million DREAMERS in return for a wall.
If immigration reform is not completed before the March DACA renewal deadline, DACA eligible recipients will be allowed to finish out the term if their DACA applications were received before March 7. Those who re-apply by March 7, may extend their DACA amnesty for two years from the time of renewal.
Millions are “eligible” for the executive program created under President Obama. It is unknown how many plan to protest the lack of legislative action by leaving.
Congress says it is working on a solution to this issue, and the President has already said that DACA recipients who stay after their amnesty expires will not be prioritized for deportation.
