In February of 2024, Special Counsel Robert Hur issued a 345 page report with damning evidence of Joe Biden’s criminal conduct in taking and retaining classified documents. Ultimately, Hur was called to testify before Congress in March of 2024, where Republicans attacked him for not charging the President, and Democrats attacked him for a report that showed that Biden put his age and memory at issue in the investigation, issues Hur found to be a problem with a criminal charge. In short, the President, as a result of an October 2023 interview, was found incompetent to stand trial.

At the time of the hearing, Hur was eviscerated for his report’s suggestion that Biden essentially was a senile old man. Mr. Hur, on behalf of the planet, you deserve an apology. But, the American people deserve way more, and they deserve it from a dishonest, incompetent, media.
Merrick Garland claimed “Executive Privilege” over the taped interview with President Biden. That’s not only legally dubious but entirely without merit. First, it was a special investigation into a crime, and the President was duly represented in the adversarial proceeding. Nothing about the sworn “interview,” which was essentially a deposition, could ever be Executive Privilege. That was not a meeting of the President, getting advice from his core advisers regarding a core function of the office. He was being criminally investigated for prior acts. Second, the White House released a “transcript” of the interview. So, what’s privileged?
Apparently, the “privilege” invoked is the right not to see if the President looks and sounds incompetent. That’s not going to hold up. But, it’s likely far worse. Since this White House Routinely sanitizes and changes the President’s remarks to correct his misstatements, and thus releases false transcripts, the working theory is that the released transcript of this criminal investigation in no way matches the actual words on Hur tape … a tape now euphemistically called the “Dementia Tape” on social media.
So … no tape for you peon Americans.
This brings us to the Biden nuclear meltdown at the Debate on June 27th. Biden, who provoked the debate, rested 10 days and prepped for it, looked exactly as so-called “right-wing” “cheap fakes” had claimed. He looked old, incompetent, mumbly, gray in skin tone, and seemingly suffering from cognitive decline. It was the night Biden declared he “Beat Medicare.” It turns out he likely only beat himself that night.
Since the debate, near mass political hysteria has ensued, particularly on social media as the Democrats discuss if Biden is impaired, and whether or not he can remain on the ticket for the Democrats. Nothing he has done or said since the debate has sowed confidence among the lucid in his party that he can continue. And, no matter how many crappy clips we see, or celebrity calls to step down, the real question is this:
Why hasn’t one member of any responsible media asked the President to release the Hur interview tapes? Isn’t that exhibit 1? That was Biden nearly 9 months ago. If he’s intellectually spent there, he hasn’t improved. That was Biden, in a criminal interview, with counsel. Does no member of the media want to see that?
George Stephanopoulos granted the President a one-on-one interview to help him clean up the debate mess. It was terrible. Stephanopoulos let the President brag about his record and repeat political lies about both his administration and his opponent. It was a combination of “get off my lawn” meets “where did I put my keys.” Sure, he asked him about the poor performance. Stephanopoulos had to get that in, given the whole purpose of the interview was the President’s competence.
How about George Stephanopoulos’s competence? How does he not ask about the obviously related nightmare Hur interview, where a special counsel found him too old and of poor memory to prosecute? The stoney silence on the Hur tape by the media continues to compound the felony that many see in the coverage of Biden up to the debate.
For three and half years, the media didn’t provide coverage of Biden, it was covering for Biden.
Hur has been completely vindicated, as have innumerable honest people who have viewed the President’s decline. But, while the media fakes its role in the Biden coverup, literally acting as if it is shocked, it still won’t do the job of honest journalism. In fact, even right-wing “media” and “infotainment” are merely obsessed with making fun of Biden and pounding their chest about being right. But, in reality, the only question left for any honest journalist to ask President Biden is this: Will you now release the Hur tape, and if not, why not? It will be essentially, Biden’s “What did the President know, and when did he forget it moment.” Mostly, it will be Hur’s moment.
The Hur tape is coming out. It is a matter of when. One GOP insider suggested to me the Democrats might use it to push him out. I thought the opposite. I thought the GOP would wait until Biden couldn’t get off the ballot to leak it. Either way it is coming, and your chosen media isn’t doing its job.
America is entitled to the Hur moment, and we have a right to see the President under questioning and compare his answers with the released transcript, while we all evaluate and see why a man clearly guilty under the law, got a pass for being too incompetent to prosecute.
