(To the tune of “Who Killed Davey Moore” by Bob Dylan)

Who shot Steve Scalise
Why an’ what’s the reason please?

Not I, says the left-wing actor
My comedic act was not a factor
Yes I showed a severed head
To show I had “Antifa” cred
And sure I acted in a play
That shows our president assassinated
But that was only political satire
It didn’t put anyone in the line of fire
It wasn’t me that got him shot
It’s not my fault so blame me not.

Who shot Steve Scalise
Why an’ what’s the reason please?

Not I says the left-wing activist
Who screams and cries “We must ‘resist!'”
The candidates I hated won
I cried and screamed when that was done
I said the new president should be impeached
before Inauguration Day was even reached
I shared on Facebook his severed head
And proudly wished that he was dead
But it wasn’t me who got Steve shot
It’s not my fault, so blame me not

Who shot Steve Scalise
Why an’ what’s the reason please?

Not I says the Democrat leader
Who made his career as a loud drum-beater
Yes I call my opponents “extreme”
Because they disagree with me
Dissent is not to be tolerated
Republicans must be obliterated
Why should I look them in the eyes
When it’s so much easier to demonize?
But it wasn’t me who got him shot
It’s not my fault, so blame me not

Who shot Steve Scalise
Why an’ what’s the reason please?

Not I says the news reporter
Who dishes dirt that’s made to order
At the behest of his leftist masters
Who smear their opponents as disasters
Who gives glowing coverage to Democrats
And protect them when they act like rats
Who makes up stories designed to defame
Anyone with a Republican name
It wasn’t me who got him shot
It’s not my fault, so blame me not

Who shot Steve Scalise
Why and what’s the reason please?

Not I says the shooter
Who spends day after day sitting at his computer
Reading the words of the actors and activists
Democrats and reporters who constantly insist
That Republicans are a danger to our nation
That they must be wiped from God’s creation
That it’s guns and not people who kill
And wiping out the opposition is God’s will
Yes it was my finger on the trigger
I thought I’d be a hero, go figure
It wasn’t me who got him shot
It’s not my fault, so blame me not

Who shot Steve Scalise
Why and what’s the reason please?
